WHAT • Credence found Lucas' body; Dorothy acts without thinking and goes after the alien. More people get involved.
WARNINGS • death, both permanent and not.


OOC: here's the outline of the plot, a rough sketch of how things will go down. feel free to diverge from it if necessary for icness so long as the main points remain intact. also please feel free to write your own starters about any and all of these plot points you'd like to play out!

1. credence finds lucas' body.
   
2. dorothy freaks out in the mess hall for anyone there to see
   
3. dorothy, enzo, caroline and jo (and whoever else would like to join) go to see the body and dorothy, upon finding that lucas really is dead, goes to kill the alien. the others join her.
   
4. dorothy finds the alien (somehow, eventually, possibly with wanda's help) and in her anger uses her magic to blast the alien out into space. unfortunately, that creates a hole in the ship and dorothy, jo, enzo and caroline are sucked into space as well.
   
5. dorothy and jo die, the vampires and the aliens stay alive and make their way back aboard
   
6. everyone can get into the fight with the alien; the outcome is as of yet undetermined! (according to the poll, capture was favoured over killing, but recent events may have changed some minds, so it'll be up to players to decide what happens!)
   
7. an hour after dying, jo wakes up on deck 2 again.
   
8. at some point, the wizards (possibly with wanda's help) fix the hole in the ship
   
9. at some point, steve rogers finds the red cloth that was ripped from supergirl's cape.

Hey! Dorothy - wait.

[ Okay, so she's a hell of a lot stronger than Peter had assumed.

He doesn't hesitate, though. Whatever happens, she could probably use some back-up, and he's got the proportional strength of a spider (and other miscellaneous spider-powers).

So even though she's pulled herself free from him, he dashes after her. ]

Wait up!

[fujita]

It's Lucas - [ and he's hurt. she refuses to acknowledge what she's pretty sure is true: that he's beyond help already. but that would mean losing him again when she's only just begun trusting him, and it would mean that there's nothing she can do.

she's not ready to accept that. she can't. toto is running beside her, which is expected. peter is following, too, which is - not expected, exactly. dorothy only notices it after a moment, but she's not going to complain about an extra pair of hands to save lucas. because she is going to save him. ]

[spideys]

That's - he's your friend, right? The guy you were looking for?

[ Peter has to run-and-talk, more or less, because Dorothy is in a rush and he gets it, really. If it was MJ, he wouldn't care about anything else but getting to her.

(But he knows she's safe. He knows she's in their room right now.)

He just hopes they make it in time. ]

[fujita]

Yeah. [ dorothy sounds breathless, not because she's winded from the run already (she's in decent shape) but because the image of lucas lying still on the ground, covered in blood, that hasn't left her yet. ]

He's from Oz. [ she doesn't really have the words to say what lucas means, partly also because she doesn't know. she fell in love with him, saved him, he saved her in return — and then he remembered and chose glinda over her. he tried to kill her because glinda told him to.

and then he didn't remember any of that when waking up here. ]

[spideys]

Oz?

[ Peter thinks back on when they'd last spoken. He did get that Dorothy was originally from Kansas and that she'd travelled across worlds through tornadoes, and there might have been a joke about The Wizard Of -- but ... really?

He nods though. He's not going to continue breaking down the fourth wall; there really is no need to add existential crises to the table at this moment. ]

Well, it doesn't matter where he's from at this point. We've just gotta make sure the guy's okay. Uh - we should probably have back-up before we do anything.

[fujita]

You go get it. [ back-up, that is. dorothy isn't going to slow down and she isn't going to stop until she's with lucas. which is also why she entirely ignores his question about oz. he can put two and two together, or he can ask again later, whatever, it doesn't matter.

nothing matters but lucas right now. ]

[spideys]

I'll -

[ Peter has to make a snap decision at this point. Leave Dorothy to fend for herself against someone or something that might have possibly attacked this Lucas guy?

Or ... stay here and provide some semblance of back-up for her, in the event that something does try to attack them. ]

I'll shoot a quick message.

[ He pulls out his phone to type something up, even when he's still following Dorothy. Apologies for the typos, friends-of-Peter! ]

[fujita]

[ it's probably a good thing peter is staying, because dorothy isn't thinking of her own safety at all. the only thing on her mind is lucas and that she has to save him. ]

Sure. [ comes her distracted response. it's a miracle she's still responding at all. ]

[spideys]

Okay. Sent.

[ He looks up, and notes that Dorothy's gone off on her own again.

He rushes to keep up with her. ]

And in the meantime I'll be your back-up.

[ He reallllly has no idea what to expect when they eventually do find this Lucas guy ... ]
