WARNINGS • please warn in the subject headings

[ you wake up on an abandoned spaceship in an unfamiliar quadrant of space, unhurt, but nauseated and dizzy, wearing whatever you were wearing before, with no possessions but what you were carrying with them.

the corridors are dark and grimy, dimly lit by lights that flicker now and then. it's cold enough to see your breath fog up before your face, but artificial gravity and life support seem to be working just fine.

welcome to your new home. ]

You look pretty good for a dead woman.

[ of course, dorothy has women literally come back from the dead, so the words aren't quite as joking as she hopes they come out. she doesn't think the other woman will notice. she's responding a little sluggishly, her blink delayed just so. dorothy isn't a doctor, but she can diagnose this much. shock isn't that difficult to recognise, and there are no (visible) injuries) ]

How about you walk with me and tell me what happened?

[ There's a faint snort. The girl is right, of course -- she should look much, much worse. Walking with her somewhere is- well. It's something to do. ]

As long as we can look for some sort of shower and new clothes on the way, [ she decides on saying, a bit dry. She really would appreciate not being covered in her own blood. Her grip on the claw is adjusted; she is not walking anywhere without at least a makeshift weapon. Not when she has no idea what's going on. ]

Lead the way.

[ well, at least the woman is responding accurately. her speech isn't slurred, either. maybe it isn't too bad and some company and time will fix things. dorothy can only hope that that's the case, because she has no medical equipment on her whatsoever, and there isn't really anything around to improvise with, either, not like there was in oz. ]

We can definitely do that. [ dorothy starts walking. ] What's your name?
