[ you wake up on an abandoned spaceship in an unfamiliar quadrant of space, unhurt, but nauseated and dizzy, wearing whatever you were wearing before, with no possessions but what you were carrying with them.

the corridors are dark and grimy, dimly lit by lights that flicker now and then. it's cold enough to see your breath fog up before your face, but artificial gravity and life support seem to be working just fine.

I … [ barry's mouth remains open for a moment, the sound prolonged. he tries to think, but the way his mind whirs at a million miles per hour would make one think he's come up with an answer. ]

[ he shrugs his shoulders a little hopelessly. ] I don't know enough about spaceships outside of beets, bears, and Battlestar Galactica.

[ he looks up. ] It doesn't seem like it came from up there. Ceiling looks pretty sturdy to me.

[fujita]

[ if dorothy was a more nervous person, someone who lets thoughts of everything that could happen invade her mind, she'd probably get a little worried now that either the ceiling's going to fall on them or the floor they're standing on will break, just because, well, now he's mentioned the possibility that it might not be sturdy.

fortunately, she's not that kind of person. so she just shrugs. ]

Pretty sure the people on Battlestar Galactica had more of a clue what's going on.

[ what? they show re-runs of it sometimes on the tv channels the hospital gets. some of the patients are into it. ]

[accelerate]

[ barry inhales deeply. ] Too bad Lee Adama's not here to explain this. [ he waves toward the debris. ]

[ then, he decides to take a step toward it, looking up at the ceiling as though he's trying to find something in it to tell him how the debris came to be. ]

I don't think the sky's going to fall. [ he looks back toward the debris on the bridge. ] But I don't think there's a troll who we can pay a toll to to cross this. It's kind of strange, the rest of this place seems to be okay except for here.

Which one is he?

[ is he one of the cute ones? dorothy thought a few of the guys on that show were really cute. ]

If the sky caves in on us, I'm pretty sure we're getting sucked into outer space. That kind of thing isn't great on the body. [ understatement of the year, hello. ]
